Look for some BIG changes coming to Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Training Camp in 2009.

1. 4 Full Sets of Kettlebells  and Instructor (December 2008) (Thanks Michael)

2. Completion of our new "State of the Art" training center with 2 TWINS heavy duty Muay Thai rings, 18 heavy bag stations, 4 banana bags, 4 Twins uppercut stations, and 4 agility balls all on a puzzle matted workout area with 8-meter mirrored wall and manned by 10 Muay Thai Trainers.

3. Thai herbal-sauna just for on-site convenience.(No we can't compete with Phuket Spa, buy for convenience of Thai guests that want to break a quick sweat before training. Also be adding a small Thai massage service at great prices.

4. More Budget Rooms and Dormitory / Hostel Style Housing for our guests that have to budget $ and make Phuket as affordable as Chiang Mai or Bangkok.

5. New TMT Indoor Fitness and Training center manned by Peter aka "Thai Hulk" with more free weights, Nautilus machines, stationary bikes.....and quite a few fans.

6. Last but not least the new TMT recreation area with Big Screen TV for UFC and TMT fights and (either X-Box 360 or PS 3) (Deternmined by guest vote), several large relaxing sofas, hammocks, pool / snooker table, ping-pong, and more. When you train hard, sometime, you want to kick back and relax.

2009 Looks to be an exciting time for TMT as we will alsobe having our http://www.nevertap.asia "No Gi" submission grappling tournament Janauary 17 hosted by UFC and Ultimate Fighter Mike Swick.

So welcome to all our old friends and welcome to all our new guests. Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Training Camp. The #1 Muay Thai and MMA Training facility in the Kingdom of Thailand.

How far away do you think your blackbelt is now? I think with Tony Eduardo and all those Jits people you have coming to Tiger it shouldn't be as long as you thought.

More Budget Rooms / Dormitory (February)
Kettlebells ( Mid December....in route now)
Recreation Area: (Late February / Mid December)

with the addition of the new training area will the MMA program eventually be split into 2 areas so that beginners and advanced students can train in either the morning or evening?

Sawasdee Dan,

Yes, the cage is being moved to weights area as we add a indoor weights room and the MMA area will be extended with a padded wall along two corners for work outs. Next to the new training area will be another training area (duplicate). The advanced area is being turned into a recreation area for guest to relax after training.

I am coming to train for a month.  Will the new Kettlebell instructor be able to train me to work out with kettlebells on my own when I leave camp?  I have been trying to incorporate them into my workouts but don't know to plan a good workout to help with my performance.  Thanks.

Well done Will,
I is Luca the Italian guy that stayed at the camp for 2 months this year April/May writing to you.
I looked forward seeing the pictures of the new training area it sounds really really good!!!!! Kettlebells great IDEA!!!! I have 2 12kgs and I swing them everyday.
I thank you very much for the training and care I received at the camp..as for many others it was an amazing experience....
I wish you and your family all the very best for the future and if you think of a contact here in Australia (near Melbourne) do not hesitate to contact me.
I wrote my personal work e-mail.
I have many pictures of the camp and a some training videos let me know if you would like to see them...
It is hard to train here now after having been trained by professionals, the proper way, the only way........I mostly shadowboxe and hopefully I will find some training partners...I live in a small town north of Melbourne, not many people...
I hope the political events do not interfere too much with your businness.
Hope to see the camp again...
Sincere regards,
Luca Seradi

P.S. Please thank all the trainers for me once more. We had fun!!!!!!!

TO ALL THE FUTURE GUESTS!!!! ENJOY THE CAMP..MAKE THE MOST OF IT...GIVE YOUR BEST..........TRAIN HARD!!!!!!!!! NO REGRETS!!!!!!!!

Requested Update:

4 Full Sets of Kettle Bells arrived last month and are already a big hit in the weight-lifting area.

The roof is being put on the new training center and we expect completion in two weeks. This will be the largest area @ TMT with 24 bag stations, 4 banana bags, 4 upper cut stations, 4 agility balls, 2 rings and 300 sq. meters of training area with matted flooring and 8 metered mirrored wall.

Ground breaking has begun on new indoor weight-lifting facility. When the "Hulk" asks for something it is best to listen....lol. Peter will also be getting several new pieces of equipment he has asked for.

Mike Swick is here and our Nevertap No Gi Submission Grappling tournamnet is 1 weeks away. We are looking at 60-80 competitors and have Mua thai and MMA fights scheduled at awards ceremony hosted by Mike Swick.

Ground breaking on new Budget rooms and dorm room is due to start at completion of new training area and recreation area follows. Expected completion:May 2009.

I'll add some pics.

We also decided to add some features to our MMA program with a 12 meter long padded wall for workouts on mats (simulating cage) adding 6 more heavy bags and 110 pound ground-n-pound dummies for class. The cage will go in old weightlifting area with a new seated bleacher area so guests can watch our BBQ beatdowns in comfort.

Last but not least, large jacuzzi and herbal steam room, and office expansion comes last.
When this is done, we are going to stop building for a while....lol

With all this new room to train guests will enjoy working with our new WBA Boxing Champion and addition of 2 Lumpinee Champions, and additional MMA / BJJ instructor as trainers bringing total to 30 trainers of which 20 are fighters as well.

How is that?
