I was planning on training in june for 3 months, no muay thai or MMA but western boxing only. I want to train full time (twice a day, 5 or 6 days a week) can you accommodate for a full time western boxing program, with sparring included. |

| Hi Jim,
At this time we don't have a program in place that matches what you want.
What about doing the boxing class and mixing in private lessons with the boxing trainers and running and weights? |

| Will, I loved the western boxing class. It was always very popular and busy. Really think TMT should be pushing to introduce it on a daily basis as Im sure it would be a big hit |

| Dave,
You are right it is quite popular. I am discussing with the rest of the management team. Check the website or forum for any schedule changes.
We just added some double end balls and two more uppercut stations too.
Cheers |

| Jim, what you can if you want to do western boxing only is:
Monday/Wed/Friday - Running in the morning, Western Boxing Class in the afternoon Tuesday/Thurs - Private lessons with Chok Chai or one of the other boxing coaches. Saturday - Kettle Bells or Strength and Conditioning
Unless you are training for a boxing fight back home, I would keep an open mind, you mind end up enjoying muay thai and mma.
I really enjoyed the boxing program, it's top notch!

TMT Staff, Loved the boxing lessons over at Tiger Muay Thai. I was there in Jan/Feb 2011 The lessons were great and I thought Chokchai was a great boxing coach. He really got what I wanted which was to drop weight and work on putting together combinations. I didn't work much with the other coaches but I could see they were very competent and each had a different style which would suit different soughts of fighters. I lost 13kg in 6 weeks and had a fight at the BBQ beat down which I won. I then competed back in Australia and had another win.
I chose TMT because of the boxing and the proven professional boxing record of it's coaches. I would recommend it to anyone that wanted to do boxing. Give my best to Chokchai, Regards Mathew Sydney, Australia

Hi Guys
I'm coming at the end of Dec for a month and chose Tiger specifically because it has western boxing which is what I love, though I do plan on learning muay thai as well...mixing it up is always good.
My question is, are the western boxing sessions designed for people at different levels like the Muay Thai sessions? or is it all full on contact? I've been boxing for a while but never full contact and not sure I want to be knocked out...
Also, do girls go to these lessons or am I going to be the only one?
Thanks, Danni

| The western boxing program is great. The trainers are Chok Chai, Komrit, Sonpichai and Songkram. Every one was a champion. Have a look at their profiles here,
The class is open to any skill level. There are usually a few girls in there as well so don't worry about that. You definitely won't get knocked out in class. There is sparring but not full contact. It should be pretty light unless you want otherwise.
Thanks
Will @ TMT |
